A Christmas Miracle for Perry and Kelso

Last Christmas, a little hope and a lot of love made all the difference for two inseparable cats and it’s a heartwarming reminder of what your support makes possible.

A Rough Start for Perry

Perry, a sweet older cat, came into the care of RSPCA Norwich after his owner could no longer look after him. His journey hadn’t been easy. At around ten years old, much older than originally thought, Perry had scabs inside his ears and, sadly, was diagnosed with skin cancer. Despite his illness, Perry was full of life, love, and curiosity, and his gentle nature melted the hearts of everyone who met him.

Whilst in the care of RSPCA Norwich Perry became best friends with another cat called Kelso, who came from the same household, and they were inseparable. Kelso was a little more reserved than Perry and preferred to keep watch whilst Perry got all the attention but thanks to their friendship, they both slowly gained their confidence.

The Perfect Christmas Gift

Finding a forever home for an older cat with health issues is never easy. Finding one for two bonded cats was an even taller order. The Animal Welfare team had the best Christmas present you can ask for when they found the perfect home for them both. Perry and Kelso were officially adopted ten days before Christmas and Perry had his first cuddle with his new owner on Boxing Day!
